Novembe 2006 At The Reclamation Yard

Looking to renovate and cannot find what you need - then you have not visited The Reclamation Yard. Terry Hutchinson has been in the business long enough to know what is capable of being renovated and what is not. Terry has a good range of Indian Stone Flooring. Indian Stone flooring is quite the in thing it seems.

A visit to his showroom areas on three floors is like entering Aladdin's cave. We were looking for a statue type figure to go on the outside of the house but we did not want a religious icon. We found it on the ground floor. We notice that he has a good selection of roll top baths available and agricultural implements that might never work again but would look good in the garden. Our plough graces the top of the fosse septique.

There are three huge floors at 'the yard' stuffed with goodies you simply would find difficult to locate elsewhere. Lots of stone, plain and decorative. Some built in the form of archways which could easily convert, if you could afford it, into a most unusual BBQ. Even a complete stone staircase! Lots of oak beams for sale, although Terry does have a thriving export business which gulps up most of his beams. He is always seeking good oak beams and oak flooring. He has a 38 tonne wagon and a 19 tonne hi-ab with a lift to deliver or collect.

He makes old furniture to order - really old reproduction stuff which you will not buy elsewhere.
